If we had to sum up Janey in one word it would be MARVELLOUS!

From the inital emails, to the first meeting and then to the wedding day, every interaction was a joy.

Janey took time to get to know us and this really reflected in the beautiful ceremony she wrote. We had a long conversation telling our journey together, it was such a special meeting, and a lovely break from other wedding planning, allowing us time to reflect.

So many guests on the wedding day told us it was the best ceremony they had every seen and absolutely loved hearing our story.

Throughout the process Janey was kind, funny, enthusiastic and encouraging. She handled some delicate topics so well and made us feel comfortable.

We incorporated our own vows into the ceremony which she supported us with, being the final check that our words complimented each other.

Our advice to future couples: throw yourself in to the process. Be vulnerable. Janey will be there to guide you through the process and your ceremony will be all the more special for it.

Janey Briers was exceptional! I could stop at that one word, but I would like to explain further.

From the moment we had a zoom call, we both knew she was ‘it’. That became more apparent as we started to work together to compile our story for the day.

Janey spent a great deal of time working with us to perfect that delivery. Nothing was too much trouble and she was not offended in the slightest by our suggested edits or amendments.

Our guests provided endless comments on how wonderful she was, had we known her before because it seemed that way, and where on earth did we get her from!

She gave the most magnificent delivery and set the tone for the day. It was flawless - humour at the right moment, warmth and empathy and a perfect and professionally pitched voice. She must have left buzzing with the amount of public acclaim she received!

She also looked utterly amazing on the day too. Yes, she may not be the cheapest, but she is worth every penny and could not recommend her more highly.

Janey was our No 1 choice for conducting our ceremony.

Right from the very first meeting she put us both at ease. She helped us focus on what we wanted, reminding us it was our day and it could be anything we wanted it to be.

We had a relaxed brain storming session. She listened to our story, inspired and supported our ideas.

On receiving the first draft we were so chuffed at how perceptive she’d been in capturing our personalities and the tone of the ceremony was just right.

We loved her attention to details in particular finding the complete poem of the inscription on my wedding band. Janey’s idea to gather ‘wise words of love’ from our family and friends is a beautiful keepsake.

We all laughed, we all cried and to quote my sister in law “That was the best wedding I’ve ever been to!"‘

We interviewed a few celebrants when we were looking for our wedding. The moment we met Janey we just knew - she is warm, kind and all smiles and excitement for you and your day.

She was so enthusiastic throughout the whole process. She wrote our script and made it so personal, weaving in my love of penguins to tell our story through the eyes of penguin soul mates.

Janey also incorporated hand fasting into our ceremony for me, as I can be spiritual.

She had us all crying and laughing, and my Mum (who is very much a traditionalist) was blown away by how wonderful it was.

She is truly the most wonderful celebrant we could have asked for and made our day so light and so emotional in all the right places.

I adore her and highly recommend her.

Janey was our celebrant for our November 2021 wedding and she was fantastic!

So many guests commented on how brilliant and unique the ceremony was. One guest said it was the best ceremony he had ever been to!

Janey was personable, friendly and professional in our first call with her and she really put us at ease over the whole process, particularly as she said part of her services would also be to check everything was as it should be before the ceremony (e.g. sound, lighting, placement of chairs etc).

We had a couple of zoom calls with Janey, where she took notes and then weaved everything together to create a very cleverly written story that formed our ceremony. It was so us, and just the right balance of humour and touching moments.

The delivery on the day was fantastic. Janey also sent us a lot of suggestions for readings and would have also helped with our personal vows, had we chosen to do them.

Janey was always very responsive and kept things moving for us, which was very appreciated as we sometimes lost track of things that were with us to review/do.

We had our legal ceremony a couple of days before and we were thinking of just getting a friend to do this ceremony for us - however, we ultimately decided that we wanted a professional who would have the presence to command a large audience.

Janey really delivered on this, and we are so glad we decided to have a celebrant and go with Janey.

Very highly recommended - if you're in two minds whether to book Janey - go for it!!
